Training Tip
To effectively train a dog, the dog needs to have a desire to learn. In order to accomplish this, we spend no more than 20 minutes of positive training followed by 15 minutes of "free play" with a favorite toy.
Our Family
Craig is our full time photographer and part time pooper scooper and assistant in training. Steven is our full time pooper scooper and part time excersiser. Cordel is our full time behavioral tester and plays with the puppies all the time. Deana is the fulltime breeder, and part time all other duties as assigned.

DC MOUNTAIN KENNELS UPDATE
YEAH!!! Our Move to Missouri is complete. We are settling in to our new location. The Ranch, as we like to call it is just breath taking. The Dogs are so happy in their new surroundings! We have obtained our Missouri State license and we are working on receiving our USDA license. We will be inspected regularly to ensure our facility is up to standards and believe me we will work to exceed those standards. We have introduced 3 Labrador dogs to our program. Sequoia is a chocolate labrador that will be posting pictures of very soon. She has a very long line of champions and titled hunting dogs in her pedigree. We are in puppy stages with her but she is a real sweetheart. Dakota is a Fox Red Male Labrador that puts a whole new meaning to work horse retriever. He is relentless in his retrieving. He is a gorgeous example of the Labrador breed and we are super excited about having this stud. Cheyenne is a soft white Labrador who is another sweet heart she is so soft natured and really is gentle with kids and smaller dogs. She has Champion titles in her pedigree and also has working therapy dogs in her pedigree. She is loyal and never leaves my side. We have a Female Boxer named Shasta that will stun everyone with her amazing looks, and Kodiak He is our up and coming new male Boxer Stud. He is a spitting image of his Dad Kody. All of their pages will be updated as time goes on. We have the dogs agility course done and they LOVE it! We are begining our training classes and hope that we can benefit the local area. Our love of animals and our goal to provide excellent customer service is what we believe will help us stand out from other breeders. We will be introducing a line of customized pet furniture, and dog houses, bird houses and bird cages. We will also be offering unique customized woodworking products. We will create a page specific for the items in the coming months.About Us
We are a small kennel/home on MANY acres of land dedicated to the love of animals. We strive hard to produce excellent, quality pets. We don't claim to be the best, but we work really hard to come close. We suggest lots of research before purchasing a dog from us. Animals are a huge responsibility and we provide information on the breed, training and nutrition. Before considering adopting a dog from us, be sure we've answered all your questions. We have references available. Our dogs are extremely important to us. We owe it to them to make sure we find the best possible homes for their puppies.
**Due to the popularity of our kennel program we have a waiting list if you would like to be placed on our adoption waiting list please contact us. We will keep you up to date as to when future litters are expected. Our dog's health and well being are our priority. We ensure our dogs receive the best vetrinary care possible. We Use James River Vetrinary Clinic in Nixa who is extrememly impressed with the health and quality of our dogs. After much research and fact finding and interviewing we believe that they are the best Vetrinarians in the local area. They are extremely thorough in the examinations of animals and are dedicated to the betterment of each breed and an animals life.
One of our goals is to exceed the expectations of our adoptive parents. We enjoy staying in touch with our extended families and hearing about the progress and development of the babies as they become juveniles and adults. We encourage contact. Once you leave with your new family member, we are here to help with answers on training and nutrition. We will assist in finding the proper vets in your local area. We don't take pet care lightly. We allow our dogs free run they are not in kennel runs. We make sure poop patrol duty is done a minimum of two times a day to decrease any chance of parasites and to ensure our dogs have a clean enviroment in the area they run and play. We make sure our dogs receive plenty of opportunity for one on one training as well as group play. This helps to make sure our dogs are mentality strong and socialized. We give our dog's heart guard every month and they are in for routine exams with the vet.Boxers are not for everyone, but once a boxer lover always a boxer lover.
I personally thank my parents for buying my first boxer when I was 9 years old. I have been a boxer lover ever since!!!
Before you buy a puppy!
Ask your self these important questions.1) Does my schedule accomodate a puppy's schedule 24/7?
2) Do I like getting up in the middle of the night, to take a puppy out in the rain to go to the bathroom?
3) Do I really know what it takes to raise a puppy into dog?
4) Am I prepared for the responsibility of another life?
5) Am I willing to accept flaws and paws in my life?
6) Do I really have the time it takes to raise a happy healthy dog?
7) Do I have the funding to raise a happy healthy puppy?
8) Do I like slobber on my furniture or floors?
9) Do I really understand the meaning of unconditional love and devotion that a dog will have for me for it's entire life?
10) Do I really know what it's like to be loved by a dog?
